Vaccinations

Although “big box store” grooming salons and some groom shops do not require proof of all vaccinations (just Rabies), we disagree and believe this is an irresponsible practice that puts our pet community at risk.  Upper respiratory infections are air-borne and can be spread wherever dogs congregate.  The Bordatella vaccine cannot prevent infection 100% of the time, but it can lessen the severity of the symptoms, just like with the human flu vaccine.  Other diseases can also be spread between dogs not properly vaccinated, especially puppies and seniors.  Vaccinations are required for dogs 4 months and older.  For senior dogs or those with medical issues, we do accept a letter from your veterinarian excusing them from vaccines.  We do recommend vaccine titer tests as opposed to over -vaccinating.  Ask your veterinarian for more information.
